A Guide to Prepare for the Fake News Season
The national media is sure to make many accusations against Trump and his supporters
It’s the first day of Spring in a Presidential election year, which means it’s time for the national media to gear up to send fake news flying right and left…well, mostly it’ll be from the left designed to vilify the right. So, to help you spot the different types of fake news, here’s a little fact sheet.
The national media uses three main types of fake news that have similarities but are also distinct.
Propaganda – This is the most basic one that is simply regurgitating what the Biden Administration asks them to print. This would include fake news like the horrors of climate change, how great the economy is performing and that President Biden is full of vim and vigor and possesses a functioning brain.
Hoaxes – This became the prime method of trying to discredit an opponent back in 2016 when Donald Trump first entered the arena. The first was the mega-hoax that Russia colluded with Trump to rig the election in his favor. Not only was no evidence ever discovered to prove it, it turned out that it was based on false information paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Many further hoaxes were reported, including the Fine People on Both Sides in Charlottesville Hoax, the Hunter Biden Laptop is Russian Disinformation Hoax and the January 6 Insurrection Hoax. Last weekend the media tried out the tepid Bloodbath Hoax that Trump was calling his followers to commit violence if he isn’t elected, but it failed miserably. But expect to hear about many more hoaxes impugning Trump’s character.
Wrapup Smear – This little trick involves a politician “leaking” a lie about their opponent to the media, who then report it as coming from an anonymous source. The politician who leaked the lie can then claim that the information is true because it was reported in the media. Much of the information we heard in the Russian Collusion Hoax came from wrapup smears. We know about this bit of fake news because Nancy Pelosi was recorded explaining how it’s done.
Potential Fake News Talking Points
Along with the types of fake news we’ll see, it’ll also be good to know what the specific talking points will be. Here are a few that we’re sure to hear again regarding Trump and his supporters.
Racism – The media never grow weary of this one, although just about everyone else has. An example of racism would be to show preferential treatment of one race over another, such as choosing a vice president or Supreme Court justice purely on skin color rather than qualifications, as Biden did, or assuming black citizens are too poor or stupid to obtain a picture ID to vote, as Democrats claim. So they’ll naturally accuse Trump of being a racist.
Fascism – Fascism is a form of socialism but unlike communism, it works under a capitalist system. It is usually marked by an authoritarian leader who seeks control of companies and violently oppresses political opponents. For example, a government where the leader seeks to control what can be said on social media platforms, like Biden did, and uses Federal law enforcement to jail political opponents and accuse them of crimes so they can’t run against him, like Biden did, would be moving toward a fascist government. So they’ll naturally accuse Trump of being a fascist.
White Supremacy – The Biden administration claims this is the greatest threat to our country. This is a belief that the white race (is there even such a thing as race?) is superior to all others, and will use violence to enforce their rule, like the Democrats did through the Ku Klux Klan in the late 1800s-early 1900s. White supremacy is so prevalent that the media has reported on, um, no incidents of it. I have never met anyone claiming to be a white supremacist and don’t know anyone who ever has. So they’ll accuse anyone who voted for Trump of being one, even if they’re black.
Christian Nationalism – This is a fairly new tactic being cooked up for 2024. This is an adjunct of white supremacy. Basically, it is the belief that America should be a Christian nation the way Saudi Arabia is a Muslim nation, tying religion and politics together. But it is more nuanced than that – it’s not just Christians who are the culprits here, but white Protestant Christians. Many times it has an even finer point of white evangelical Protestant Christians. Most specifically, white evangelical Protestant Christians who support Trump and love America.
One reporter on a far left news station claimed Christian Nationalists are people who believe that our rights as Americans come from God, not from the government. Which means our Founders, who created our government, were Christian nationalists since they’re the ones who said our rights come from God, not the government. So they’ll accuse anyone who voted for Trump of being one, even if they’re black.
Extreme MAGA – People labeled this probably would show all of the above characteristics. The cartoon version of this person would be of a half-witted, overweight, cigarette smoking white man wearing a Make America Great Again cap, holding an AR-15 with an extended magazine in one hand, a Bible in the other, driving his pickup over a black Muslim on his way to vote for Trump. In other words, someone who doesn’t exist in reality but makes a great boogie man for white Democrats living in their insulated worlds where they’ve never met a Republican. So they’ll accuse anyone who voted for Trump of being one, even if they’re black.
There may be more to come but you’ll be sure to hear most or all of these.
Also expect within the next few months a major event that will either lead to more rioting or will inspire fear to keep people in their homes which will create the need for mail-in voting.
So, let the fun begin.
