A New Candidate for the Role of Antichrist
Proposed international agreement could put us into a One World system
As we look around our world and see crazy things happening near and far, many people are talking seriously about the end times. Christians, especially, wonder about the identity of the Antichrist mentioned as part of the end times in the Bible.
But what if, like in the old Abbott and Costello routine, the question and the answer are the same? Who is the Antichrist? Yes, WHO is the Antichrist.
By WHO, I mean the World Health Organization, which seems more interested in acquiring our very souls than in protecting the health of our bodies. And the person who might auction off our American souls is none other than the President.
On May 27, WHO will meet to sign an international pandemic health agreement. It hopes that all 194 member nations including the United States (especially the United States) will sign it and agree to be governed by it.
The document at one time had been called a treaty, but for the United States to enter into a treaty it has to be ratified by Congress, which probably wouldn’t happen. So the fact that it’s now called an agreement seems to allow the President to agree to it unilaterally.
I’ve read the negotiating text for the agreement (and since it is negotiable I assume it could change quite a bit by the time a final version is signed). On the surface, it sounds reasonable. But it contains a few troubling items, as well as some things that are left unsaid that could potentially be problems.
The Basis for the Agreement
The idea behind this agreement is to coordinate better response to a worldwide pandemic, as covid-19 allegedly was. This is not a bad idea, since there seemed to be a lot of disarray among countries in how to respond.
So a major component is the sharing of information between labs around the world to better understand the pathogens that could possibly become another covid or something more dangerous. This would allow countries to better coordinate how to combat a viral pathogen and potentially eliminate a deadly virus before it spreads. Or it could lead to more effective antidotes.
This portion is encompassed by something the agreement calls One Health, a global health program that focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion. Just the name itself makes my spidey senses tingle. Anything lumped into a “one world” type of system feels like a dictatorship-in-waiting.
The agreement speaks a lot about funding, which places a high priority on developed countries helping less developed countries. This is why, I believe, they so desperately want to include the United States. President Joe Biden has shown his willingness to pump unlimited funding toward all kinds of international issues. That means either we’re going to shell out more in taxes or our country will go bankrupt and then become one of those undeveloped countries.
The Most Troubling Component
By far the most contentious issue in the agreement is its emphasis on something it calls an “infodemic.” This, according to WHO, is a pandemic of too much information.
In my experience, when someone complains that you’ve got too much information it means they have secrets to hide that are not for your benefit.
The WHO is very concerned about “misinformation” and “disinformation” and the harm it could do to public health. You remember the misinformation during the covid pandemic, right? There was the “misinformation” that covid was accidentally leaked from a lab in China (since confirmed). There was the “misinformation” that masks and 6-feet-apart don’t stop the spread (since confirmed). There was the “misinformation” that the vaccine didn’t stop the spread (since confirmed). And the “misinformation” that ivermectin was an inexpensive effective deterrent to covid (since confirmed, at least unofficially).
So, just imagine how much less informed we’ll be if we let WHO control what information we receive, as the pandemic agreement dictates.
Things Left Unsaid
But it also leaves a lot unsaid, like what happens if a country who signed the agreement doesn’t go along with the WHO sanctions?
Also left unsaid is any checks on gain-of-function studies. Gain-of-function is when a laboratory intentionally makes a virus more deadly and contagious in order to develop antidotes before it gets out of control. But the current theory is that covid-19 was the result of one of these gain-of-function studies that leaked from a lab. We really don’t want a repeat of that, so gain-of-function research should at least be mentioned.
It also doesn’t clearly define how severe a pathogen and its spread is to be considered a pandemic. Nor does it say whether it will limit a pandemic to just a germ. Will it consider access to guns as creating a health pandemic? Or our continued love for beef and driving gas-powered cars to be a climate health pandemic? Will believing in God be considered a health pandemic against those who don’t?
Given that they already consider “too much information” to be a pandemic, it sure wouldn’t surprise me.
And, of course, there’s always the specter of government-run health care. All we have to do is look at Canada’s system which now offers you the option of committing suicide when you see a doctor for something as benign as the common cold. Or just speak to any veteran who has to deal with our government-run VA hospitals to see how cold and impersonal, and often inadequate, government health care can be.
Is WHO the Antichrist?
So why did I consider that WHO might be the Antichrist spoken of in the Bible? Well, we know that the Antichrist wants to rule the world. He wants all eyes focused on him, worshipping him for his power. He wants to control the global economy. And he certainly wouldn’t want anyone worshipping God.
Perhaps the idea of an entity like WHO being the Antichrist or one of the other abominations mentioned in Revelation is a bit extreme. But is it too extreme to think that WHO gaining control of the world’s health care could lead to the rise of the Antichrist? I don’t think so.
It is certainly worth spending some time in prayer over President Biden’s decision on May 27 on whether or not to sign the agreement. Otherwise, there could literally be hell to pay.
